U.S. job growth cooled in August, a sign the labor market is finally beginning to slow in the face of rising interest rates, declining economic growth and chronic inflation.<\/p>\n

Employers added 187,000 jobs<\/u> in August, the Labor Department said in its monthly payroll report\u00a0released Friday, slightly beating the 170,000 jobs forecast by Refinitiv economists.\u00a0<\/p>\n
