The technology is called generative AI and has since been deployed by Microsoft on its search engine and other tools. Google has a rival called \u201cBard,\u201d and other generative AI tools have been developed in recent months.\n  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clp33czm10005356hxemek2cx@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n      Not long after its release, ChatGPT became a household name almost synonymous with AI itself.
