\n Republican infighting turned nasty on\u00a0Thursday\u00a0after the House voted\u00a0to reject\u00a0a pair of divisive disciplinary measures\u00a0the day before\u00a0\u2013 a sign the conference is still badly divided, despite Speaker Mike Johnson insisting earlier that the party is unified.\n <\/p>\n

\n GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia has been continually bashing her Republican colleagues who opposed her failed resolution to censure Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, posting a list of the GOP \u201cno\u201d votes on X and calling them \u201cfeckless.\u201d\n <\/p>\n

\n But Greene has specifically zeroed in on GOP Rep. Chip Roy, telling him to \u201cshut up\u201d\u00a0in one X post\u00a0and criticizing his \u201cpowdered wig soliloquies,\u201d\u00a0among other things,\u00a0in another.\n <\/p>\n

\n In another post, she took aim at Roy for removing\u00a0her from the Freedom Caucus and voting to certify the 2020 election\u00a0\u2013\u00a0and also lobbed insults at two of her other former Freedom Caucus colleagues, Reps. Lauren Boebert and Ken Buck, both of Colorado.\n <\/p>\n

\n The House also voted\u00a0Wednesday\u00a0night on a measure to expel embattled Rep. George Santos of New York. The effort failed, but over\u00a020\u00a0House Republicans backed it.\n <\/p>\n

\n GOP Rep. Steve Womack, who supported expulsion, posted on X: \u201cLast night, the House saw its shadow. Unfortunately, this means there will be two more weeks of Santos.\u201d\n <\/p>\n

\n In response, Santos attacked Womack\u2019s son,\u00a0who pleaded guilty in October to one count of distributing more than five grams of methamphetamine in federal court in Arkansas, according to court documents. No date for sentencing has been set.\n <\/p>\n

\n \u201cInstead of being home, taking care of your son, you\u2019re sitting pretty in the swamp,\u201d Santos said.\n <\/p>\n

\n Santos later apologized on X<\/a>, writing that he had a \u201cmisguided moment of rage and lashed out against a colleagues family member after he was critical of me.\u201d\n <\/p>\n

\n \u201cI\u2019ve always held the standard that our families are off limits and I crossed that line and for that I am embarrassed and deeply sorry for doing so,\u201d Santos wrote.\n <\/p>\n

\n At the time of the plea, a local news report quoted Womack as saying:\u00a0\u201cThere\u2019s not a more helpless feeling than to see your adult children struggle with addiction and its horrific consequences. This is our cross to bear. We will never give up on a solution. We love him unconditionally and believe in our hearts he will redeem himself. We regret he is at the mercy of the criminal justice system and will respect the judgment.\u201d\n <\/p>\n
